Everything you see in it is designed and customized for our truck, inlcuding the artwork on the wall, which is made for us by Gordon Lee. The door holds our contact details and the back has quirky graphics with a monocle identifying our location coordinates and a mustache containing information on Guactruck. Our truck presents a make-your-own food concept in an assembly line layout, where our customer can see through the acrylic window and choose whatever he wants to go into his meal. We've incorporated transparency into our design as we believe customers have to right to know what they are eating.
Quirky graphics inspired by Sherlock Holmes with a monocle identifying our location coordinates and a mustache displaying information on Guactruck.

Sustainable Origami Food Box
Our design focuses on creativity and aesthetics, as well as highlights the environmental aspect commonly associated with packaging.
Paperboard. No glue or plastic, making it biodegradable and easy to recycle.
Visually appealing, sustainable, and ergonomic. The design uses origami techniques to form an enclosed shape resembling a bud that opens into a full bloomed flower, has a self-locking mechanism that eliminates the need for adhesive, and has a bowl-shaped base for easy grip and comfort when eating from it while standing or on the go. The graphics contains instructions and a message in morse code.
In order to be effectively sustainable, the physical design of the packaging has to become part of a system. So we also designed a loyalty scheme to make sure that the packaging goes to the proper channels instead of the landfills.
We believe we are responsible for everything that comes out of our truck, may it be waste, food or packaging. Inspired by coffee shop loyalty cards, we've come up with a loyalty system that encourages our customers to return used packaging to us with the incentive of obtaining a free meal in exchange for ten returned packaging. The returned packaging will then be sent to the proper channels for recycling. This way, we not only raise awareness on the issue of sustainable packaging and recycling, but also cultivate a habit of conscious and conscientious consumerism.
Five Sides of Sustainability
Guactruck is an intelligently designed mobile eatery upcycled from an old delivery van. The whole fabrication process was done in Manila and materials used are sourced locally, minimizing our total carbon footprint.
LEDs and energy efficient lighting are used to limit our total energy consumption.
We encourage customers to return our packaging, which we send to a recycling center, to reduce waste going to landfills.
The cutlery we provide is made from cornstarch and biodegrades within 90 days, again, to minimize waste going to landfills.
We utilize a small footprint by maximizing the available space within a 12 feet by 6.5 feet delivery truck.
